Happy B-day To Me...

I had a great birthday this year with lots of birthday wishes! I woke up and got ready for work like usual, but was surprised when I walked down stairs to a table full of birthday presents from my hubby. The spread included peat pots and seeds to start my vegetable garden, flower seeds, and a journal. My favorite was the Curious George book for our baby girl. John said it was his favorite and he thinks she will like them too.

My students were very excited that it was my birthday. I had about 15 homemade cards on my desk along with a beautiful arrangement of flowers. They sang to me over the announcements and again at lunch. They are such a thoughtful group of kids and I am going to miss them when I leave!

Will You Be My Valentine?

To save a little money this year, John and I celebrated Valentines Day at home. The menu for the night was grilled steaks, even though we were under a wind advisory, grilled vegetables, sweet potatoes, apple pie, and sweet tea. It was delicious!
