I'm Cute (Even When I Cry)...
We have started a new chapter in babyhood...teething. Oh yes, what an experience. Nap time only lasts an hour or less (hence the neglect of the blog), and bedtime is a traumatic experience for all involved. We now dedicate 2 hours, yes I said 2, to bedtime. She will finally go to sleep around 10:30, but wake again at 4ish then 6. I think we were a little spoiled with her sleeping through the night and going down so easily, so it has been an adjustment and a reminder of patience! We love her and think she is cute even when she is crying... :)

In A Pickle!
Our garden blew up with cucumbers this year!! I ate all I could possibly eat and decided I would try to can the rest and make pickles. Two hours and a destroyed kitchen later, I canned 7 cans of pickles. I have to wait 3 weeks to try them so I don't really know if it was worth all the effort. We joked about putting warning labels on the just in case. They would read: Warning, if paralysis occurs, please seek medical attention immediately. So, who wants a batch?
4 MONTHS!
Audrey had her four month birthday on Saturday! She is growing up so fast and I keep asking her to slow down just a little bit! She recently hit a growth spurt and seems to have grown over night. The little tiny baby that fit so perfectly in my lap is now all legs and arms. This month she has learned how to stand (with assistance), avoid taking naps (mom and baby are both cranky by the time dad gets home), grab things and put them in her mouth, sing while she is eating (super cute!), roll from her belly to her back, and giggle (my favorite). I can't help but think that this week I would be starting back to work, and all of the things I would be missing out on. I am so very thankful that I am able to stay home with my little girl and watch her grow each day. Even though some days can certainly be trying (the baby nap boycott days as mentioned earlier), being a stay at home Mom is the best! :)

River Part II
It is good to be home! Traveling with a three month old is not an easy task! We got back from the river after spending a week with my best girlfriends. It was so nice to spend time with them because it's almost impossible to get all of us together at one time! We didn't do a thing but relax on the dock and in the AC when necessary (100 degrees is an AC day). Audrey loved seeing her "aunts and uncles" and I enjoyed the extra pairs of hands and meals that they fixed! Audrey discovered how to stand this week and nothing but standing will do. I am almost positive that I may be developing some extra arm muscles.
