A Day In the Life Of Audrey...

Ever wonder what Audrey is up to during the day, besides being constantly photographed by her Mother?  She leads a very busy and difficult life for a nine month old.

7:00-  Wake up in my crib and talk to myself for about 15 minutes while Mom wakes up.

7:15- Go downstairs with Mom and let her attempt to change my diaper while I do the alligator roll across the floor.  

7:30-  Mom makes me breakfast and try to feed myself, but most of it ends up in the floor.  Sometimes I throw it down there because I know Lucy will get to eat it, and I LOVE that dog!

8:00-  Play with Mom in my room and pull ALL of my toys out of their proper places.  See picture below.

9:00-  Time for me to wind down for my nap.  I read my favorite books with Mom, and will cry when she tries to read ones that I don't approve of.  Who likes If You Give A Cat A Cupcake anyway?

9:15-  Mommy puts me to bed and most of the time I fall asleep for an hour or two.  Sometimes I get a"wild hair" and need to practice my "pulling up" skills for a bit. 

11:00-  Wake up and play in my crib until I need Mommy.  All I have to do is fuss a little and she comes running.  Got her wrapped around my finger!
12:00-  Lunch time!  Repeat breakfast scenario....
12:30-2:00- Playtime/ help Mom with chores.  I LOVE when Mommy does laundry!  She folds and I unfold, she folds, I unfold, etc.
2:00- Book time!  No, I can never hear Doggies too many times.
2:00-3:30- Nap-time. While I sleep, my toys magically put themselves up again!  All the more reason to pull them ALL back out!
4:00-6:00- Play with Mom and practice my crawling and pulling up.

6:00-  Daddy is home and it is time to rough house!!
6:30-  Supper!  Repeat food drop for Lucy and Oliver..
7:00- Time to get ready for bed.  Mommy and Daddy try to put my PJ's on, but I like to roll and crawl away while I am naked, just to keep things interesting..
7:15- Read and snuggle with Daddy.  I am getting very sleepy, but there is so much fun to be had that I don't want to go to sleep.
7:30-  Maybe I will just rest my eyes for a bit.......life is rough.

My Little Girl Turns 9 Months!!

Today was Audrey's 9 month birthday!  We celebrated with a visit to the Doctor for a wellness checkup.  She is doing great, and is now in the 50th percentile for height!  Maybe she won't be a little short round after all.  Her weight is still in the 10th percentile, but as the Doctor says, "Look at her parents."  True.
This month has been one of my favorites with my little girl.  She is so very curious about everything, and cannot sit still!  She hasn't mastered crawling yet, but will take a few tentative crawls before returning to the army crawl.  I can honestly say that I am not upset that she isn't crawling, because she will be a complete handful when she does.  She is having so much fun pulling up on things, that I wonder if she will even bother with crawling, or go straight to walking.
Her sleeping habits have improved so much in the past few weeks.  I had a FULL NIGHTS SLEEP a few nights ago, and woke up feeling like a new person!  Naps are going well and are no longer a struggle for us.  A well rested baby makes for a much happier Mommy.  :)
She is changing and learning things at such an amazing speed.  Each week she amazes me with something new she has learned.  Just this week she figured out how to go from the crawl to sit position, which means I will more than likely find her in her crib this way from now on.

Audrey loves when John gets home from work because that means "rough house" time.

Best friends!  Audrey likes to wave good morning to Lucy every morning we wake up.  Lucy loves Audrey just as much and is learning to be "easy" with the baby.
