Snow Much Fun!

I'm pretty sure that Sarah Kate was born during one of the coldest, snowiest winters that we have seen in a while.  Having a newborn limits my amount of outside time with Audrey, and she is inside bound until Daddy gets home.  By the time he arrives she is bouncing for joy because she FINALLY gets to play in the snow, and I'm jumping for joy because she gets to run off some pent up energy!  I love snow, but I think I'm over it until next year. Bring on Spring!
John still has his "snow racer" from when he was younger.  Audrey loves riding it and calls it her "snow razor".

Tree enjoys racing the snow tube.
14 inches in the latest snow storm.  Audrey had a difficult time maneuvering in the snow.

I never worry about Audrey staying hydrated, because she eats her weight in snow!
Doesn't everyone carry around their Halloween bucket when it snows?
I finally made it out during the most recent snow, thanks to a napping baby. We decided to make a snow princess. Isn't she lovely?

From The Mouth of an "Almost" Three Year Old...

We have been struggling this week.  Three's are  turning out to be MUCH, MUCH tougher than two.  So this could not have been timed more perfectly.....

Almost every night, as part of their bedtime routine, John and Audrey read something out of her picture book Bible.  She has been very interested in the passage about the good Samaritan, along with several other passages that tell of Jesus dying on the cross and rising again.  Through these stories, they talked about how some people don't have Jesus in their hearts and they do bad things because of it.  One day, she told John that Jesus was "crawling on the ground (after being beaten) so that he could live in HER heart."  WOW! WOW! She also showed me a picture of Jesus carrying the cross and said, "He did that juuuuuuuuuust for me!" Talk about a proud moment. But it made me wonder, if a three year old gets it, why do we struggle so?

Dress-up..

Audrey's newest obsession is playing dress up with all of my clothes.  First, she pulls down all 50 of my scarves ( I really love scarves), then she chooses her shoes, and sometimes finishes off her outfit with a lovely hat.  After the assembly of each outfit, she would ask for her picture to be taken.  Oh, what a ham!  But you have to admit, she is adorable!
 My little southern belle.
Or how about this look?
