6 Months!

Six months already?! I'm not sure how this happened so quickly! Sarah Kate is beginning to develop a hilarious personality.  I honestly thought she was going to be my calm quiet child, but somehow she turned into a wild little bear overnight! She loves to squirm and wiggle all around the floor, and is working on getting her knees are tucked up underneath her in crawling position. She has learned some interesting noises this month, that are sure to catch eveyones attention. Watch out, Audrey! You have some competition and I need a good pair of earplugs!

If I Could Keep You Little

If I could keep you little, I would. If I had the ability to freeze time in this very moment, I would use it. If we could make dirt stew and swing until our toes touch the sky for the rest of out lives, so be it. We could keep your childlike innocence forever, where the scariest thing you've ever encountered is "loud thunder" and getting hurt is something that happens when you fall down. I would keep you within this little house and shield you from the negative influences and evils of the outside world.  But you continue to grow despite my wishes, and your curiosity is quickly extending beyond our four little walls.  Since I can't stop the inevitable and I can't shield you from the world (although I WILL try), I'll do my best to equip you with the values and morals that I hope you carry with you as you grow.  Please remember, dear little ones, I will always be here for you and you are never too big for Momma hugs.
