Christmas in Dixie

Christmas came and went so fast this year! I have a feeling that this will be one of our last "quiet" Christmases, but so much more to look forward to next year! We spent Christmas Eve with my Grandparents, aunt, uncles, and cousins and saw Rudolph running through the field! Too bad John was putting the dog up when it happened and missed all of the action. I am sure that this will be one of many appearances over the next few years. :) We woke up at my parents house Christmas morning to a gentle snow fall at 6:3o a.m. (That was a long as my Momma could wait, and even that was a compromise!) We opened gifts (which include a Vera Bradley diaper bag that beebee will certainly enjoy), drank homemade hot chocolate, and fixed breakfast for the Grandparents while watching the snow. It was a wonderful, white Christmas!!

I think you can still see the bump under all of those clothes!

Mommaw and Poppaw watching the Wii tournament.

Daddy got an electric guitar for Christmas. We heard him practice ALL day until I declared quite hours.

Snow tube for John!

Christmas Time's A Comin'

I am completely enjoying the past few snow days that have come our way. Our house is fully decorated for Christmas and I am passing the time by reading, attempting to cook, and relaxing. The winter storm lasted all of Thursday and left us stranded in the house since our road is always the last to be scraped. It was nice to be able to spend a day with just the "three" of us. Sometimes it takes a little snow to slow us down from our fast paced lives and simply enjoy God's creation and the true meaning of Christmas.

Oliver is welcoming the winter storm by snoozing in the house.

Winter wonderland..

Merry Christmas!

On The Road Again.....

We recently visited Robert and Brenda for Thanksgiving and then again for the annual family reunion. We were able to spend some time with the Perzanowski's and even spent some time with the CO Dennis'. We had a wonderful time and ate WAY to much thanks to Brenda's wonderful cooking.

Cookie anyone?

Lucy taking up the ENTIRE truck on our trip.

I know why Peter wanted a boy cousin.

So he could share some of the "wrestle time" with someone else.

Beautiful little Lily Bug enjoying her rocker.

Hooter, the one eyed Easter Screech Owl, was being tended to by Dr. Dennis.

He was released in the barn by a few onlookers.

Lucy loves her Grandma Brenda.

and Copper too...

We had a great time and can't wait to see you all again!

IT'S A........

GIRL!! We were excited to have THE ultrasound today! We had a time trying to get the baby in the correct position so we could see. She was trying to be a lady and keep her legs crossed. :) John calls her Thumper because she is such a wiggle worm. We are very excited to be able to refer to it as a her from now on.

The envelope please....

Surprise!!!

The prediction list.

Belly Diaries Part 2

Lots of fun news to report over the last few weeks. November 30th is THE day that we find out what our little one will be. We have had lots of predictions over the past few weeks. So far the predictions have turned out about 50/50. Peter Perzanowski requested a boy during his visit this weekend so he could drive him on the tractor. :)
I felt the baby start moving last week and discovered the baby really likes hot chocolate. Belly flops and karate chops after a steaming cup of hot chocolate let me know that the baby is going to be a fan. I also heard that craving sweet things means a girl while sour cravings mean a boy. Not so helpful when my favorite foods are chocolate milk, pickles, and pizza. Where does pizza fit in?
John finally got to feel the baby move the other morning. He was all smiles knowing that the baby was finally "acknowledging him."
We are VERY excited about finding out and promise to let everyone know ASAP.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween party with our friends and were extremely excited about our Halloween costume! John made his hat out of a Macy's bag and was nice enough to spray paint my box white. My excuse for getting out of the painting was the old I'm preggo line. :) I really don't know what I will do when I can't use that excuse anymore.
The oven and the bread maker!

Lucy dressed up as a Christmas gift. The outfit lasted long enough to snap the picture. Her original costume was a witch, but she ate the hat.

Pumpkin cupcakes with tootsie roll stems.

The girls using their fortune teller powers to predict the gender of the baby with the belly as the magic ball. Charley Gail predicted a boy while Elizabeth said girl. Really helpful girls. :)

Baby Diaries

Today marks week 16! It is going by so fast. It is absolutely crazy to think that in 6 months we will have a little person in our house! Although we are super excited, sometimes the thought can be slightly overwhelming and surreal. Denise sent us a package full of beautiful baby clothes in the mail and as I pulled them out of the box Ikept thinking, "I am going to have something that fits in these clothes! I am going to be responsible for this tiny little person!" Then there are the times when I am completely confident about the situation. We have been documenting the weekly belly growth and have seen a HUGE change in the past few weeks. Seems the baby has tripled in size. I believe this is true because I now wear dresses instead of pants since dresses don't require buttoning.
Our next doctors visit is November 2nd. We are secretly hoping that we will find out the gender of the baby. I am trying not to get my hopes up because I know the chances are slim (but they still exist). Only time will tell!!
