Third Trimester....ALREADY???

In three more months our little Claire/Audrey will be arriving! Where in the world did the time go? We have gone from the shock of the first pregnancy test to setting up the nursery in what seems like a few weeks. We are both so excited to meet the little karate kid but can't believe that the time is almost here! The "extra" room is beginning to look somewhat like a nursery. John has patiently moved furniture from here to there under my supervision, only to be instructed to move it to another location. He has been a very patient man having to deal with a very impatient and indecisive wife. Unfortunately, Johns next project may be building on an extra room for all of her clothes. Trust me, it's not me doing the buying!

Our doctor visit last week went well. After drinking
a horrible mixture of orange sugar water, we headed to the doctor for blood work and all of the tests came back okay. This means that I can keep eating all of the milkshakes and cookies that I want. Oh the woes of being pregnant!

28 weeks and growing!!

Hard At Work

John has spent the past few weeks working on projects around our little house. His first project, since I can no longer paint, was painting Grandma's old furniture. We were originally going to buy new furniture, but figured we may need to save a little for the mounds of diapers in the very near future. He spent all day on the first piece and surprised me with it when I came home from work. I love the interesting "wave" on the front of the furniture. He is still working on the second piece, but got a little sidetracked with the building of his quail cage.

His second project was putting together our new bed frame. John thought of this Christmas gift all by himself and I thought he did a great job picking it out. I would have been completely surprised but he wanted to make sure I liked it before he purchased it.

With all of these little projects, I laugh to think that John may be "nest
ing" before the baby arrives. Don't tell him I said that. :)

New and improved!

The new bed frame.

The "work in progress".
