A few weekends ago we gathered at the River House for Aunt Bettie's 70th birthday. Family and friends traveled from all across the U.S. to help celebrate. The night included a shrimp boil, beach music, moon pies, storytelling, and time with friends and family. It turned out beautifully and we all had a wonderful time!
One, two, three, PULL!

Then, it was time for cupcakes!
Audrey and I stayed the following week, even though John had to go back to work. My parents came up and spent a few days relaxing on the river with us. Audrey even went for her first kayak ride. She loved it, but could only sit still for a few minutes at a time before wiggling around and wanting to get out. Go figure!Happy 70th, Aunt Bettie!
