Down Time..

What?!? A post that isn't about Audrey?  I know! Saturday, John and I pulled the kayaks out of the basement, dusted off a layer of dust, and hit the New River with Ben.  Momma and Daddy kindly agreed to babysit Audrey Saturday AND Sunday, so we could float/fish all day and camp on an island that night.  We put our kayaks in near Radford and floated the majority of the day.  We caught lots of fish, and I brushed up on my casting skills (majorly rusty!).  My first cast was very rewarding, with the second to largest fish I caught that day.  Unfortunately, my camera decided to die after one picture.  Fortunately, the one picture it did take was me holding a big fish.  :)  We finally reached the island later that night, to find goats and posted signs....random, I know.  Since we didn't have a backup plan, I decided that my comfy (and air conditioned) bed sounded like a pretty decent alternative.  We packed up the kayaks and drove home to see our little girl, and were greeted at the door with, "I knew you couldn't stand spending the night away from her."  Not entirely true, but I was glad to see her!  So, first overnight trip away from Audrey was a fail, but we enjoyed our mini getaway anyway.
